On April 21, 2014 the first annual Hardeep Kang Memorial Hockey Tournament was played.
Over the past 4 years the event has been a tremendous success. In addition to raising approximately $78,750 in total donations since 2014, we paid tribute to Hardeep Kang, an officer with the Peel Regional Police. Hardeep passed away from cancer at a young age but he touched a great number of people during his life and policing career. The hockey tournament, participants and volunteers exhibited a true illustration of the unity and family that is the policing community. The Kang family were extremely thankful and expressed gratitude for the celebration of their son, brother, and friend.
We hope that we will continue to have a great success with this tournament by raising both funds and awareness for cancer research, while celebrating the life of a fellow officer!
